Fund Withdrawal

When can I withdraw my funds if I sell my shares or close my positions today?

The availability of funds for withdrawal depends on the rolling settlement cycle followed by the stock exchange and the broker's policies. If you sell your shares or close your positions today, the proceeds from the sale or closure will typically be settled in your trading account by T+1 for equity trades (i.e., sale of stocks from demat, BTST, or intraday) and F&O trades. After the funds are settled, you may then place a withdrawal request to transfer the funds to your bank account.

For example: If you sell your shares on Friday from your Demat account/holdings (equity-based trade) you will be able to withdraw the proceeds on Monday evening. (However, 80% of the proceeds from the sale can be used immediately to make new trades).

For F&O, since the settlement cycle is Trade Day +1, if you close your position on Friday, you will be able to withdraw the proceeds on Monday evening.

Note: Equity intraday profits will be available for withdrawal after T+1 days, and F&O intraday profits will be available after one day.To know more Please click on How do I withdraw money from my trading account?
